So this is a new project that I'm working on to help myself jot down thoughts on what is turning out to be a renewed lifelong obsession with an amazing kids toy: LEGO. For sure there *lots* of web-site already on LEGO (I have many of them on my Useful Links page), but I had a (few) specific goal in mind:
#1 - LEGO techniques.
LEGO has changed *alot* in the last 10-20 years, progressing much further than a simple toy. I wanted to help empower the next generation of builders to learn some great techniques and see what they come up with.
#2 - LEGO parts and advancement.
LEGO has come a long way from a few basic blocks and colours. For those that haven't been keeping up, this can be a primer for a whole new wave of parts and how they can be used.
#3 - Sharing MOCs.
In the "old-days" I think people would go to local LEGO conventions (like BrickFete, etc) and show-off their goods. However today, with the internet, you can reach an even wider audience! I think sharing inspires others and frankly that is how I picked up a few new techniques.
